One to call my own

For my birthday in February my lovely husband and his family attempted to buy me my very own pottery wheel. But after a couple of gumtree sales that fell through we ended up having to rent one for me (from The Pug Mill in Adelaide - great place!) until we found my forever wheel.

Today we found it!

It's totally rusted, has 2 cracks in the basin, is missing one of the side panels and is more than 20 years old but it's mine and I love it! I can't wait to clean her up and take her for a spin tomorrow.

I feel like a real potter now!

Tell me about your first wheels!  Does anyone else have an old Ward wheel that is still working?
